Kagame's landslide victory in the July 14-15 polls, securing more than 99 percent of votes cast, set the stage for this momentous occasion. The ceremony marks the beginning of Kagame's new term, following a campaign where he faced Frank Habineza of the Democratic Green Party of Rwanda and Philipe Mpayimana, an independent candidate.

As Kagame begins his new term, the people of Rwanda and the international community look forward to his continued leadership and vision for the country's future.
