Her expertise led her to serve as Senior Designer for the Nicki Minaj Collection and Head Denim & Wovens Designer for Beyoncé’s House of Deréon, experiences that solidified her status as a force in fashion.

Despite her success in the mainstream industry, Simoyi was determined to establish her own brand. She launched Farai Simoyi: The Label, a fashion house that celebrates African artistry while maintaining a modern, cosmopolitan appeal. Her designs are characterized by bold prints, intricate details, and sophisticated tailoring—elements that pay homage to her roots while appealing to a global audience.

Her influence extends beyond clothing. In 2020, she participated in Netflix’s "Next in Fashion," a competition showcasing some of the most innovative emerging designers. Though she did not win, her presence on the show amplified her brand’s visibility, earning her admirers worldwide.

Beyond designing, Simoyi is passionate about empowering young African designers. She founded The Narativ, a platform dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of African and Black designers in the global fashion space. Through mentorship, retail opportunities, and networking, she is helping shape the next generation of African fashion entrepreneurs.
